Babylone on Hudson
The Babylone Lamp is sculptured in parchment and Macassar ebony. It gets its architectural silhouette from skyscrapers that have been designed by well-known architects, in this instance one of the last projects by Herzog and de Meuron in New York. The alternation between these two materials creates a very graphical game “cubiste” which echoes the play on glass and stone facades of this spectacular tower.
