revisiting the classics
Dialogue with the past
To celebrate the 120th anniversary of Maison Delisle, I chose to explore the company's historical archives to extract some "gems".
While searching among the cast iron models of the many creations published over the generations by Delisle, I discovered elements of lighting or furniture of the style which I repurposed to integrate them into my creation.
Thus was born the "Acanthus" lamp: the 3 acanthus leaves that compose it come from a Louis XV chandelier model.
Assembled in a semicircle, they appear to be balanced on their base, and the lampshade seems to float above.
A perfect balance of solids and voids, it is a true work of art.

Continuing the bronze tradition
The Delisle company is a family business of art bronzers that was founded in 1895, in the heart of the Marais district in Paris.
Today, Jean Delisle embodies the fifth generation of this "Living Heritage Company", a member of the Colbert Committee.
The Delisle company has illustrated all the major trends in Decorative Arts and Nicolas Aubagnac entered its collections in 2003.
At the same time, the Delisle company is helping to restore the splendor of French heritage treasures: Versailles, the Place de la Concorde, the Palais Royal…
Through his various collections for the Delisle company, Nicolas Aubagnac continues this uninterrupted dialogue between the tradition of bronze and light…
