Inspired by Japanese lacquer masters
To create this lacquered wooden side table, we used the centuries-old skills of a master lacquerer with whom we developed a material effect inspired by ancient Japanese techniques from the 18th century.
The lacquer is sprayed in drops, and the superimposed layers of different colors reappear as the surface is sanded, creating this flake effect.
It looks as if the table has been showered with delicately colored pigments…
Thus the tradition continues…
