Ode to Nature

The Kami coffee table is entirely inspired by the plant world.
Its bronze base is chiseled like the bark of a tree.
Each foot seems to emerge from the ground to wrap around the platform and conform to the shape of the next foot…
The tabletop is a lacquered panel worked like a stone patinated by time. Browns blend with blacks in a subtle palette worthy of a painting.

Vegetable bronze
To achieve the plant texture that I so liked on this beautiful tree, I called upon a sculptor.
A mold was then made of this sculpture so that it could be cast in bronze.
This is where the expertise of an artistic bronze caster is required.
Each solid bronze table is then hand-patinated using ancestral recipes that remain somewhat secret…
This is what gives each pedestal table its own unique and distinctive patina.
