LUNA

_pedestal table

1 / 6

Reaching for the moon

We have all dreamed , gazing up at the sky, towards that nocturnal celestial body that has inspired poets since antiquity…

The moon is fascinating in that it appears to us both as an immaterial disk of light and as a compact and inert sphere.

This is how the LUNA pedestal table in bronze and stone was born.

I chose raw and patinated bronze to express the density of this sphere suspended in the "great void" and travertine stone with silky veins to evoke this light and precious disc that illuminates our nights.

Numbered edition of 8 signed pieces.

Bronze star

To achieve the texture of these two lunar spheres, it was necessary to find a sculptor capable of carving them.

A mold was then made of these two moons so that they could be cast in bronze.

This is where the expertise of an artistic bronze caster is required.

Each solid bronze foot is then hand-patinated using ancestral recipes that remain somewhat secret…

This is what gives each pedestal table its own unique and distinctive patina.
