A night dream
the sky reinvented
Who hasn't dreamed while gazing at the celestial vault on a summer evening?
Who hasn't dreamed, imagining the planets of our solar system endlessly revolving around the sun?.
The Saturne cabinet is the result of this reverie…
It is decorated with a design of imaginary planets made of white gold leaf.
These luminous planets float against a background of cloudy skies with intense and deep blues.
Each planet is interpreted by our master lacquerer in a different way, so that no two cabinets are alike! Each piece is therefore unique.

The tradition continues…
Our Saturne cabinet perpetuates a tradition that is almost 3000 years old…
Lacquer objects date back to the Neolithic period in China. This technique was already reserved for luxury items.
Then Japan became a benchmark in this area.
In the West, lacquer was not practiced until the 17th century. Lacquer objects were prized by the elite: in the 18th century, Queen Marie Antoinette collected them.
It was designers from the 1930s, such as Eileen Gray or Jean Dunand, who seized upon the traditional technique of Japanese lacquer and combined it with the creation of their furniture.
Our Saturne cabinet perpetuates a tradition that is almost 3000 years old…
