When a single piece of furniture becomes a work of art…

Back

For the living room of a chalet, Nicolas Aubagnac took on a crazy challenge: to represent the Alps in three dimensions as if he saw them from a cloud, a reminder of his childhood fascination with maps…

It is a French art foundry, passed down from father to son, that spent over a year studying this exceptional piece, both technically and aesthetically. The unparalleled technology and expertise of its artisans enabled them to fully realize the project's poetic vision.

In a 300-kilogram block of bronze, the reliefs of Mont Blanc, the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, and the Italian plains emerge in turn.

No other indication of location, only the undulating movement of the natural reliefs, like fabric lifted by the wind… Only Mont Blanc is marked with a «pin» planted at its base…

Like an art object in a display case, the sculptural coffee table is made of a block of bronze delicately hand-patinated, sheltered under a glass portico.
