A luxury chalet

Back

A chalet that combines the pleasure of entertaining with the joy of being with family. For this second mountain project by the agency, everything had to be built from scratch on a bare plot of land. Working with a local architect, Nicolas Aubagnac designed a vast 800 m² living space that could simultaneously meet the demands of entertaining and those of a cozy family retreat.

On the “reception” side, there is a vast living room adorned with an impressive contemporary wooden fireplace, a small «cozy» living room that invites reading and resting by the fire, and a third living room offering a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains, a dining room built around a totem table and a warm, open kitchen.

For relaxation, the chalet also offers a home cinema lined with red flannel as well as a beautiful fitness area with a weight room, massage room and sauna.

On the "night" side, the bedrooms and their private bathrooms offer elegant and subtly coloured atmospheres in shades borrowed from the surrounding nature.

The materials chosen are both refined and raw: Savoy stone, parquet flooring, woodwork made from reclaimed wood from old farm buildings, handmade ceramics, custom-made pure wool rugs, and linen curtains. A collaborative selection of artworks, made with the client from the initial design phase, allowed for a discreet and natural integration into each room.
