When technology, tradition and poetry converse in harmony
avril 2024
"With this exceptional piece of furniture combining a sculptured frame of solid ebony with sheathed parchment panels, it was my desire to combine the unique ability that my cabinet makers possess with an innovative procedure of imagery sublimation. This summer I took a series of photos of the shadows cast by the rosemary bushes on the patio of my house in Sicily. I wanted to share these beautiful pictures depicting shadow and light by integrating them poetically into one of my designs. Thanks to this patented and unpublished procedure of controlled oxidation, I was able to project my pictures onto parchment panels that had previously been covered in varnished oxidized silver leaf. I then created a mosaic using the photos to decorate all three sides of the cabinet. As a result, this piece of furniture became an imaginary and precious ‘Herbarium’ where technology, tradition and poetry simultaneously work together in harmony."

Sinan table basse précieuse
mars 2024
Inspired by the Sinan console table, here is the Sinan coffee table. A change in decoration, a change in proportion, a change of materials …. It’s not in the least bit similar and yet it has the same shape! That’s the magic of design.

The base is made from natural oak as I wanted to evoke the elegance and strength found in the design of roof timbers in old buildings. In particular, I was thinking of the beautiful roof of Notre Dame de Paris that is in the process of being restored.
A precious framework nevertheless with cut sides creating an elaborate set of facets. In the middle, a dazzling golden ember tray of blonde Mica marquetry, protected by glass, like a framed work of art.

Orion console
February 2024
I love to draw with a pencil, you know, the old-fashioned pencils with a hexagonal shape and thin sides. Well, this timeless shape gave me the inspiration for this bronze console! So here is the Sinan console.

Of course, when looking at the console a pencil no longer comes to mind: its strong and tapered silhouette gives it an air of both strength and elegance. Just look at the angles! Like a carved stone ….

The plateau made from travertine has a silky touch versus the special grainy appearance of patinated bronze. A particular finish that I wanted to obtain between softness and roughness. A touch of detail at the foot of each leg: faceted crown hoofs resembling delicate shoes.

And all this thanks to a pencil ….

A limited edition with only 12 pieces, each one signed and numbered.

A queen of snow...
December 2023
One might call it a sculpture of ice stalactites imprisoned in a box. In any event, this is indeed the image that brought about the inspiration for this second version of the Thot lamp made from gypsum and oak.

Its clean and distinct silhouette calls to mind a totem dedicated to imaginary gods. The gypsum marquetry decorates both sides of the lamp, for it is even more beautiful if the lamp is placed in front of a mirror ….

An icy object of beauty that once lit will sparkle with a thousand lights warming up your eyes.

SETI... comme un bonbon
Avril 2023
